The Department of Atatürk’s Principles and History of the Turkish Republic was founded under the decision of Higher Education in accordance with the Law No.2547 for the purposes of providing and encouraging studies on the life, principles, and revolutions of Atatürk, the founder of Turkey, and on the history of the Turkish Republic. It also organises academic activities, such as conferences, panels, and seminars, providing a supporting research environment for scholars. The department is responsible for the implementation of the Atatürk’s Principles and History of the Turkish Republic compulsory course which lasts at least two semesters. The academic staff of the department consists of 1 Professor Doctor and 10 lecturers.
